The Life of Rosemary Haydt

Rosemary (Dey) Haydt, 79, of Longswamp Township, died Friday, May 25, 2018, in her home.  Born in Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Harvey W, Sr., and Agnes M. (Stulpin) Dey.  Rosemary was employed as a painter for over 20 years by Electro-Space Fabricators, Topton, until her retirement in 1998.  She was a member of Mertztown Rod & Gun Club, Ray A. Master Post 217 American Legion, Topton, Lyons Fire Company, Lyon Station and Topton Fish & Game Association, Topton.  Rosemary enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets, and collecting antiques. She also competed in various block shoots at gun clubs in the area.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon F. Kauffman, Mohnton; sons, Ralph O., III, husband of Robin J. (Ely) Kauffman, Macungie; Donald W. Haydt, Jr., Mertztown; and Randy W. Haydt, Allentown.  Other survivors include ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Rosemary was predeceased by a brother, Harvey W. Dey, Jr., and a sister and two additional brothers in infancy.

A memorial service to celebrate Rosemary's life will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown with Reverend Arthur L. Hahn, officiating.  Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown, will be held at the convenience of the family.
