Isabel R. Mills, 90, of West Chester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.

She was born in Philadelphia to the late George and Isabel (Barauskas) Knorr.

She resided in Drexel Hill and North Wildwood before moving in 2014 to Bellingham Retirement Community in West Chester.

She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, William H. Mills, and by brothers George and Harry Knorr.

She is survived by three children, Linda of Havertown, Beth (Gary) Rendina of Wayne, and Hunter (Lynn) of Brentwood, TN, and by her sister, Frances Johnson of Ridley Park. She is also survived by grandchildren Sara (Chris) Free, Laura Rendina, and Read, Katherine, and Caroline Mills as well as by two great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Isabel was legendary for her delicious Christmas cookies, which were loved by all and shared with family, neighbors, and friends; for sending cards with a handwritten note to everyone she knew for all occasions; and for her beautiful smile. She made friends easily and always remembered their names. Her greatest joy was being with her family and friends and especially spending time with her great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Ryan Christopher Free.

A woman of great faith, she was an active member of St. Simeon's Episcopal Church in North Wildwood, where she became a member of Daughters of the King. On moving to West Chester, she cherished the fellowship she found at St. Francis-in-the-Fields in Malvern. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 70 years.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 1, at St. Francis-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, 689 Sugartown Road, Malvern, PA 19355, where friends may call beginning at 9:00 a.m.
