Mary Grace Hindman, 94, of Pottsville, formerly of Cherry St., Pine Grove passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Providence Place, Pottsville.
Born on February 18, 1924 in Honesdale, PA, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Rose Mary West Robbins.
She was a 1942 graduate of Honesdale High School and was a member of Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont.
Mary worked as a Stenographer and Artist and worked for the Pine Grove Area School District for 20 years. During WWII, she worked at Western Union in Washington, D.C.
Preceding her in death were her husband J. Clair Hindman; a sister Elizabeth Coar; three step children, Faye Lehman, Barbara Frantz and Gene Hindman.
Surviving are four daughters, Rosemary Gary and Patricia Thomas, both of Mesquite, NV, Peggy Moyer of Lebanon, Michelle Kimmel of Schuylkill Haven; a son Grant "Skip" Witmer of Pine Grove; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; step grandchildren; step great grandchildren; nieces and nephews..
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. at Most Blessed Trinity Parish, 113 Cherry St., Tremont with Father Jason Stokes officiating. Interment will follow in the Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.
