The Life of Guy H Beuchler


Guy H. Beuchler, 92, of Auburn, passed away May 7.

Born Sept. 25, 1925, he was a son of the late Guy and Mamie Beuchler.

Guy left high school to join the Navy and serve his country during World War II. He served on Liberty Ships defending our nation.

After returning from the service, Guy later worked for Alcoa as a laborer.

He was a lifetime member of the Rainbow Hose Company, and even served as the bartender after a short-term position turned into a twelve-year commitment.

Guy was formerly a member of First Presbyterian Church in Pottsville.

Through the last year of his life, Guy was thankful to the nursing staff at Heartland Hospice along with his sister-in-law, Helen, who took such good care of him.

In addition to his parents, Guy was predeceased by his wife, Lois, who passed away in 2015, along with other brothers and sisters.

Guy is survived by his sister-in-law, Helen Shrom, wife of Alan; brothers-in-law, Jimmy and Bobby Schappell; sister-in-law, Marian Hoover; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Grabowski Funeral Home, off Route 61, Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Interment with military honors will follow the services on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Guy's name be made to Heartland Hospice, 2201 Ringwood Road, Suite 180, Wyomissing, PA 19610.
