The Life of Cheryl A. Peckham

Cheryl A. (Wartzenluft) Peckham, 59, of Richmond Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday evening, May 9, 2018 in Kutztown Manor, Inc. after a brief battle with colon cancer. She was the wife of David K. Peckham, whom she married on September 4, 2006. Cheryl was the daughter of the late Sterling H. and Frances A. (Huseman) Wartzenluft, and was a 1976 graduate of Kutztown Area High School.

Most recently, Cheryl was employed by Kutztown University working as a Secretary in the Admissions Office. She also owned and operated The Sensorium, selling essential oils at Renninger's Farmers Market in Kutztown. Cheryl had a passion for music. She was an excellent singer who also played guitar, organ, and piano. She sang with various local groups and bands throughout the years. Cheryl was a Reiki Master Teacher and was very knowledgeable with essential oils and crystals.

In addition to her husband, Dave, Cheryl is survived by her two daughters, Amanda L. (Kunkleman), wife of Tim C. Gehring, Allentown, and Cristin S. (Miller), wife of Rich J. Ehrie, Topton; two grandchildren, Richie C. and Cheyenne F. Ehrie; and her four-legged companion, Sassy. She is also survived by her two brothers, Leonard Wartzenluft, and his wife, Judy, of Reading, and Steven Wartzenluft, and his wife, Lisa, of Kutztown; as well as one niece and four nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Cheryl's life will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Pamela Brehm officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
