The Life of Katherine L. Bishop
Katherine Louise (nee Matheson) Bishop, 87, of Havertown, PA, died May 1, 2018 at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, she had formerly been a resident of Havertown for 20 years. A graduate of William Penn High School, she had been employed as a Printer by Vanco for years before they closed. Katherine then worked for the Clover Store before retiring.
She was a former member of the Baptist and 7th Day Adventist Churches. She remained throughout her life, a woman of strong faith and conviction. She taught Sunday School and received great comfort in reading Scripture.
Katherine enjoyed crocheting, reading and feeding the birds and squirrels. A lover of all animals, she was a great cook and baker. Known as " Ta Ta" to many and “TeTa” to others, she will be remembered and cherished as a second mother to her niece and nephews.
She was the beloved wife of the late William A. Bishop who died in 1988 , Survivors: include her sister, Martha Lacoboulos, Niece, Carol Metzger, Nephews, Tom Martin and Johnny Lacoboulos. grandnieces Lauren and Hannah; grandnephews, Tommy and Tyler
Service: Funeral Service will be Friday, May 4, 2018, 1:30 pm at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA. 19026.
Visitation: Friday, May 4, 2018, 12:30 pm
Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
