The Life of Walter J. Baginsky

Walter John Baginsky Jr., 73, of Exton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 27, 2018. He was completely devoted to his soul mate, Jean Reeder Baginsky, with whom he enjoyed 33 years of marriage before she passed away 5 months ago. Walter leaves behind two loving children, Bret (Sara) Baginsky and Bridget (Christian) Babcock. His granddaughter Iona Babcock brought him great joy.

 Walter graduated from Villanova University and worked at Lucent Technologies for many years before retiring. He served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1977. He was stationed in Korea and was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain.

 Walter was preceded in death by his father, Walter John Baginsky Sr. and his mother, Anna Baginsky. He loved his family with all of his heart and was so proud of his children.

A funeral service to celebrate Walter's life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 South Home Avenue, Topton, with the Reverend Thomas Darr officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion Honor Guard, Topton, PA and The Pennsylvania Military Honor Guard, Ft. Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA will follow in Topton Union Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.

Walter cared for his wife Jean during her battle with Alzheimer's disease. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations in Walter's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association. A permanent tribute fund for both Jean and Walter Baginsky can be found at http://act.alz.org/goto/baginsky.
