The Life of HAROLD DORMAN TAYLOR
Harold Taylor, age 95, passed away of lung cancer on December 19, 2017 in Surprise, Arizona. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave. Des Moines, Iowa.
Harold is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Taylor) Engelke of Wisconsin, step-daughter, Linda (Weeks) Bunting of Indiana; his step-sons Gerald, Gerry and Butch Weeks of Iowa, Dan Hainline of Missouri, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by wives Ethelmae (Hainline) Taylor and V. Ione (Weeks) Taylor; sisters Lorraine Heimbaugh and Darlene Mayne.
Harold was born May 25, 1922 in Creston, Iowa, graduated from Creston High School in 1941 and worked for Carpenter Paper Company and the Des Moines Register and Tribune prior to retiring in Arizona.
