The Life of Alice W Frew
Alice W. Frew, 91, of Tremont, passed away early Monday morning at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Swatara, Jan. 9, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Edna Griffiths White. She was a graduate of the former Reilly Township High School.
She was retired from the former Fox Knapp Manufacturing Co., Pine Grove.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Newtown.
Alice lived her life for her family. She will be remembered as a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, 2006; a son, Wayne, 2002; a brother, Alfred White.
Surviving are her sister, Lois Kramer, Tremont; daughter-in-law, Mary Kathryn Frew, Tremont; three grandchildren, Christine Betz and her husband, Keith, Pine Grove, Angela Flannery and her companion, Mike Houtz, Newtown, and Wayne Frew Jr. and his wife, Charlette, Cumbola; 11 great-grandchildren, Michael, Kaytlyn, Ashley, Tyler, Kassondra, Kayla, Alexander, Chase, Hunter, Keegan and Luke; three great-great-grandchildren, Cameron, Brantley and Alice; a niece, Joan Dimon, Pine Grove.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home Inc., Tower City, with the Rev. Dr. Krista Roehrig. Burial will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Viewing will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the chapel. Memorial donations in Alice's name should be made to St. John's U.C.C., 133 S.
