The Life of ISORA MARY FENZKE

Isora Mary (Rauch) Fenzke, 91, of Des Moines, passed away Friday, April 06, 2018, at Calvin Community in Des Moines.

Isora was born on October 25, 1926 in Forest City, IA, to John Myron and Ella Mary (Goss) Rauch. She graduated from Forest City High and attended Waldorf College. She moved to Des Moines and worked 27 years for the Veterans Administration Center, retiring in 1974.

On November 20, 1948, Isora was married to Fred William Fenzke of Des Moines at Forest City. They made their home in Des Moines.

She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, a lifetime member and Past President of Beaverdale VFW Post 9127 Auxiliary and a lifetime member of NARFE 148.

Isora and Fred enjoyed traveling and after their retirement spent nineteen winters in Hawaii, also an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs.

She is survived by many cousins and many many wonderful friends and she loved them all.

She was preceded into eternal life by her husband Fred in 2004 and her parents.

Visitation will be held at the New Hope United Methodist Church beginning at noon on Monday, April 9, 2018 with services at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.

Memorial may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
