The Life of Elena Kirina Scharfe

Elena N. Scharfe, of Ansonia, born Elena N. Kirina on May 26, 1967 in the city of Engels Russia. She was the daughter of Nikolay Kirin and Tamara Kirina. She passed away on the night of March 29, 2018 at Griffin Hospital. Elena was goodhearted, faithful and caring. She had a degree from the Russian Music Institute and composed and played wonderful Russian-inspired music arrangements. Her instrument revealed her gentle creative soul. Elena also loved cooking, sewing and crafts. In Russia, she had been a singer, receptionist and stewardess. She is survived by her loving husband Christopher, her mother and cousins. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends and will remain forever in our hearts. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 11:00 am DIRECTLY at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia with Father Patrick Burns, Pastor of Three Saints Orthodox Church officiating. The cemetery chapel will be used if there is inclement weather. There will be no calling hours.
