The Life of William P. Norman

Obituary- William P. "Bill"  Norman, 61 of Havertown, PA, died peacefully on Feb 28, 2018 at Delaware County Memorial Hospital with family members to comfort him. Born and raised in Merion, he was a resident of Havertown for the past 41 years. A graduate of Lower Merion High School, class of '74 and Drexel University, he received a degree in Computer Engineering. He worked as a computer programmer. Bill enjoyed all things musical and technical. He had a tremendous capacity for patience in dealing and sharing his talents with others. As a young man he played guitar. After becoming a quadriplegic, Bill was a motivational and inspirational example to all those he knew. He especially enjoyed exploring the beauty in the world, looking, at the nature that surrounded him.

 He was the son of the late James Grant, II and Ruth Lillian (nee Liggett) Norman; and brother of James who died in 2013

Survivors: include his cousins, Ellyisha Baker, Jonathan MacIvor, Joanne (Mike) Kellar, his caregivers and friends.

Service: His Memorial Service will be 11:00 Fri, at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill, PA 19026.

Visitation: after10:00 AM at the funeral home

Interment: Private
