Reflection of Life

On February 17th, 2018, God out stretched His mighty hand and took our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather home to rest.

Prophete Thelon, son of the late Saint Pierre Thelon and Zabelle Thelon, and brother of the late Miracia Thelon was born in Coross rural de Savanette, Haiti on September 3rd, 1954.  Growing up, Prophete was known as a “Curious George.”  He was very popular and had many friends.  Until the day he was called home, Prophete lit up every room instantly with his charisma and charm.

After finishing general studies, Prophete entered trade school to become a lumberjack and wood worker.  By the age of 19 years old, he had established a very lucrative business selling self-made wooden furniture.

Prophete married his childhood sweetheart, Rosemarie Fondrose, on February 7th, 1979.  From that union, seven children were born.  The first, Frisnele Thelon, died at the age of 1.  Prophete is survived by his living children: Raoul Thelon, Manoucheca Roselar Fondrose Duchatelier, Fabiola Thelon, Olivia Clairemancia Thelon, Ethan-Allester Thelon, and Amilia-Munette Thelon.  He also leaves behind a daughter-in-law, Rose Lancie Thelon; a son-in-law, Steeve Duchatelier; and one grandchild, Lindsay Katherine Thelon.

In May of 1981, Prophete made the decision to come to America to purchase his first pick-up truck, an investment that he felt was necessary for his business.  After several months, his wife missed him so badly she journeyed to the United States to be with him.  It was then, the both of them made a united agreement to stay in America.

Prophete worked as a general construction worker for the City of New York for 25 years.  In 2003, he left his career in New York and moved to Philadelphia with his family.  He began working as the lead, private contractor of a self-owned construction business, Alpha Omega Construction Co.

Due to illness Prophete was forced to retire early in 2012.  Since then his wife and children cared for him at home.  

Prophete leaves a lifetime of memories with the Thelon family, Duchatelier family, Francois family, Muscrat family, Bien-Aime family, Francis family, Sebastien family, Thelisma family, St Fort family, First Haitian Church of God family and many friends.  He was more than a loving, family-oriented man.  He was a pilar in his church and community.  Now Prophete Thelon is the guardian angel of all those he loved.
