The Life of JUANITA JUNE SAYRE

Juanita J. Sayre, 89, passed away on February 7, 2018, at Kavanagh on 56th in Des Moines. She was born in Elkhart, on October 16, 1928, to Lawrence and Reatha Williams.

Juanita married Bob Sayre on June 30, 1951, in Alleman, Iowa. Bob built their home in Des Moines in 1959, where they lived and raised their family. Juanita continued to live there for her remaining years. She was an Iowa State Cyclones fan and enjoyed attending women’s basketball games. Juanita loved spending time with her family, whether it be dinners, birthdays or random get togethers.

Juanita is survived by her children, Cindy (Wade) Smith, Christy (Lonnie) Baer, Gary (Sherri) Sayre; grandchildren, Ashley (Carlos) Medina-Mangold, Amber Sayre, Alexis (Matt) Reynolds and Kyle Sayre; six great grandchildren; brother, Don (Donna) Williams; sisters, Betty Spooner and Shirley Kenney; sister-in-law, Rosie Williams; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; siblings, Dean, Doris, and Beverly.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday evening, also at the funeral home.
