The Life of SARAH ANN EVANS
Sarah Evans, 33, died unexpectedly at home on February 5, 2018. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Iles Grandview Park Chapel. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will return to the funeral home at 3 p.m. for refreshments and further celebration of her life.
Sarah Ann Evans was born April 9, 1984 to Shirley and Dan Evans in Des Moines. She was the assistant manager at the Ankeny Walgreens. She was loved by her family and friends because of her wonderful sense of humor and ability to speak her mind. To Sarah, the most important parts of life were children and animals. She adored her nieces and nephews, and hugs were always overflowing at family get togethers. Sarah loved the outdoors, especially going fishing. She had a zest for life, and was blessed to have her mom as her best friend.
Sarah is survived by her mother, Shirley (Overton) Evans; father, Dan Evans; grandmothers, Joan (Walker) Evans, and Sharon (Ghaston) Overton; brothers, Dan Jr. and wife, Lisa; Matt and wife, Veronica; lifelong “partner-in-crime”, Nathan Sharpnack; nephews, Matthew Jr. (10), Liam (8), Lincoln (2), Leivi (1) and Maverick (6 months); nieces, Natalie (9), Siena (9) and Charlotte (7); many aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as dogs: Teddy (1) and Bob (12); and cat, Lily (8).
Sarah was preceded in death by her children, (infant twins) Skylar and Paul Evans and Baby Sharpnack; grandpas, Paul Evans and Alvin Overton; grandma, Patricia (Pendergast) Overton; uncles, David, Michael and Alvin Overton; and aunt, Sarah Overton.
