The Life of Sallie E. Weil

Sallie E. (Schwoyer) Weil, 69, of Kutztown, died peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2018, in her home.  Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Mabel A. (Stump) Schwoyer.  Ms Weil was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran, Fleetwood. Sallie worked in the purchasing department of Carpenter Technology, Reading, for 33½ years until her retirement in 2012.  Sallie enjoyed NASCAR, her favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt, Sr., and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. She also enjoyed NHRA, and the New York Yankees.

Sallie is survived by sisters, Lucille M. (Schwoyer) widow of Theodore M. Jones, Topton, and Joanne L. (Schwoyer) Kramer Pauley wife of Daniel J. Pauley, Bowers.  Other survivors include many nieces and nephews, her best friend Barbara DeTurk, Topton, and her cat, Pita. Sallie was predeceased by brothers, James C. Schwoyer, Forrest L. Schwoyer, William E. Schwoyer and Ronald D. Schwoyer; sisters, Virginia Schwoyer, Gloria Schwoyer, Phyllis R. (Schwoyer) Leibensperger and Carol Ann Schwoyer.

Funeral services for Sallie will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. from New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, with Reverend Ruth F. Doty, officiating. Interment in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may call on Friday evening, February 9, 2018, from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, and again on Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. in the church.
