The Life of Ann Yvonne Baker

Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2018
in Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Ann G. Baker, 94, who passed away
on January 15, 2018 at Courtyard Manor.
Burial will take place in Holy Mary Mother of God Cemetery.
Ann met the love of her life, Bud at Fort Polk, LA where they were married prior to his overseas deployment during WW II. They were married for 40 years prior to his death. After his death she crocheted many afghans for Hospice of Acadiana in his name. She loved a good game of poker, pokeno, bingo and anything that brought her together with people. Ann enjoyed traveling overseas with her son Michael and made many trips to Colorado and Oregon to visit family. She enjoyed sitting on Susan’s back porch swing watching the farm animals and wondering when the pecans would fall.
Ann, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Andrew Gautreaux and the former Elida Hebert.
She is survived by her children, Thomas H. Baker and wife, Melissa, Christopher F. Baker and Susan B. Robin and husband, Rayford; grandchildren, Tiffany Ann Baker, Nicole Baker, Pamela Baker Gaal, Jennifer Baker Dean, Warren H. Baker, II, Allison Spitz, Matthew H. Baker, Bradley J. Baker, Dillon H. Robin, Alida C. Robin and Thomas L. Baker; great grandchildren, Hunter Rizzuto, Hayden Gaal, Noah Dean and Emmett Baker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren Howard "Bud" Baker; son, Michael A. Baker and daughter in law, Kathleen Baker and numerous aunts and uncles who were like her brothers and sisters.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. A Rosary will be recited at 1:00PM on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Courtyard Manor for their love and respect of Ann.
