Good Neighbor

I will always remember Mr. Hoffman as one of the most kind and thoughtful people I knew when I was a child growing up on Kohler’s Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman always treated my family as though we were extended family to them. Mr. Hoffman always had a quick smile and seemed genuinely happy to see everyone he encountered. My family enjoyed chewing beeswax with honey and drinking iced mint tea, which the Hoffmans would bring to us in summer months. With gratitude and love, Kathy (Rhein) Hildebrand

Neighbor and Friend

The day we moved in and the van drove off; over walked Dave and Irene bringing dinner. From tilling our garden in the spring, to teaching me to level a mold board plow, to fighting our swamp to retrieve my tractor, he was always helping. I'll so miss his great sense of humor and know I'll be listening for the sound of his chainsaw for a long time to come. Love and condolences to all, Diana and Dave Rydzewski
