The Life of Jean E Schneck
Jean Elizabeth Schneck, 95, passed away Wednesday at Weston Senior Living Center at Pinebrook, Orwigsburg, where she had been a resident.
Born in Berks County, June 8, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Clara Berg Losch.
She was the widow of Marlin Willard Schneck, who passed away September of 1967.
Jean was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn.
She served as a past worthy matron for the Order of the Eastern Star Cressona Chapter 367.
Jean had worked at Argo Knitting Mills as a supervisor.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Losch, in 1953; a sister, Mary Keller, in 2005; a daughter-in-law, Marlane Schneck, in 2017.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Schneck, Orwigsburg; a daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" Zimmerman, wife of David, Cressona; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jamie Schneck, Jennifer Ryan, wife of Michael, Michael and Stephen Zimmerman, and Sherry Zimmerman Erbland, wife of Marcus; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Teagan, Jakob, Marlana, Nicholas, Eric, Connor, Ava, Sara and Jackson; a sister, Kathryn Heinbaugh, Orwigsburg.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill, Auburn, with the Rev. Ken McDowell officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience.
