The Life of Jean E Schneck


Jean Elizabeth Schneck, 95, passed away Wednesday at Weston Senior Living Center at Pinebrook, Orwigsburg, where she had been a resident. 

Born in Berks County, June 8, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Clara Berg Losch.

She was the widow of Marlin Willard Schneck, who passed away September of 1967.

Jean was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn. 

She served as a past worthy matron for the Order of the Eastern Star Cressona Chapter 367. 

Jean had worked at Argo Knitting Mills as a supervisor.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Losch, in 1953; a sister, Mary Keller, in 2005; a daughter-in-law, Marlane Schneck, in 2017.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Schneck, Orwigsburg; a daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" Zimmerman, wife of David, Cressona; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jamie Schneck, Jennifer Ryan, wife of Michael, Michael and Stephen Zimmerman, and Sherry Zimmerman Erbland, wife of Marcus; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Teagan, Jakob, Marlana, Nicholas, Eric, Connor, Ava, Sara and Jackson; a sister, Kathryn Heinbaugh, Orwigsburg.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill, Auburn, with the Rev. Ken McDowell officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience. The family requests donations in Jean's memory to St. Paul's United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 1235 Summer Hill Road, Auburn, PA 17922.
