The Life of William T Nagle


William T. Nagle, 93, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg. 

William was born in Schuylkill Haven, March 28, 1924, a son of the late William and Barbara Freeman Nagle.

He was the widower of Dorothy J. Nagle, who passed away in 2001.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church Schuylkill Haven, Schuylkill Lodge 138, Orwigsburg, Robert E. Baker Post 38 American Legion, Schuylkill Haven.

Bill was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1942. 

He served in the Navy in World War II, spending much of his time in Saipan.

He was employed by the Schuylkill Haven Post Office for 23 years.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan J. Scharadin; a sister, Arlene Shollenberger; brothers, James and Richard.

Bill is survived by a grandson, William Scharadin, Kutztown; granddaughter, Lauren Barkanin; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Nagle, Kentucky.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
