The Life of DOROTHY LOUISE GIBSON
Dorothy Gibson, 88, was born April 18, 1929 in Lacona, Ia, the daughter of Dale and Leota Mullins. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center.
Dorothy was a member of Eastern Star and a past member of Highland Park Christian Church. She liked, crocheting, knitting, baking, and spending time with her family. Dorothy graduated from North High School in 1947.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Scott Gibson; sister, Virginia Fedson; 2 grandchildren, 5 nephews, and 3 nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Gibson; her daughter, Jean Marie Oswood, parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 nephew.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Hamilton’s Near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 N.W. 60th Ave, Des Moines. A visitation will be held 2 hours prior to service.
