He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Schein) Peffel, whom shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George P. Peffel and Mary E. (Kolson) Peffel.

George served proudly in the United Sates Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Eric G. Peffel, husband of Laura M. Peffel, of Fleetwood, Michael S. Peffel, husband of Christal, of Muhlenberg Township; and grandchildren: Kaeden Peffel, Cameron Peffel, and Sofia Billman.

Mass of Catholic Burial will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
