The Life of Jonathan I Walborn
Jonathan Ira Walborn, 75, of Orwigsburg, passed away Sunday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Pottsville, June 21, 1942, he was a son of the late Jonathan M. and Frances Erb Walborn.
He was the widower of Joyce F. Fisher Walborn.
Jon was a 1960 graduate of Blue Mountain High School and the class president. He graduated college from Gettysburg University in 1964.
Jon owned and operated his family business, The Walborn Insurance Agency, Orwigsburg.
He was a member of The NRA-Golden Eagle, Masonic Lodge 138, Orwigsburg, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orwigsburg, and the Pine Valley Sportsman's Club.
In addition to his wife, Joyce, and parents, Jon was preceded in death by his son, Craig M. Walborn, on March 6, 1981, and granddaughter, Frances Elaine Walborn, Aug. 27, 2002.
Jon is survived by his daughter, Cheryl, wife of Dr. Neil Belman, Allentown; his son, Michael J. Walborn, husband of Monica, Orwigsburg; grandchildren, Kaylyn, Luca, Julius, Samuel and Delaney Walborn.
Services are private and will be at the convenience of family. Arrangements are entrusted to Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Orwigsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Cancer Center, Patient Fund, 801 Ostrum St., Bethlehem, PA 18015, in Jon's memory.
