The Life of GEORGE M CHRIST

George M. Christ, 86, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, October 27th, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading. George was born in Reading on May 19, 1935, a son of the late Clara (Green) and Gerald E. Christ, Sr. and was the husband of Joan H. (Yetzer) Christ, of Morgantown. He was a 1953 graduate of Reading High School and was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Reading. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War then worked as a Machinist for the Reading Railroad, Norfolk Southern Railroad and Conrail for 43 years until retiring in 1997. He was an avid hunter and was a member of the Pikeville Rod & Gun Club and family owned "Camp Jerry" hunting camp. George is survived by his daughter, Carol A. Milligan, of Lancaster; son, Gerard M. Christ, husband of Lynn A. Seibert-Christ, of Caernarvon Twp.; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. George was predeceased by his sister, Carolyn Eppenheimer and two brothers, Leonard Christ and Gerald Christ. Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, November 2nd from 9 AM to 10 AM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Reading. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Paul RC Church, 151 N. 9th St., Reading, PA 19601. Arrangements entrusted to John P.
