The Life of Erma K Inger

Erma K. Inger, 83, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday at Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Schuylkill Haven. 

Erma was born in Pittsburgh, on Dec. 19, 1933, a daughter of the late Harry and Kathleen Smith Hanna.

She was known and loved by many as "Momkay." 

She was a graduate of Allegheny High School, North Side of Pittsburgh. She was employed by Dusselfink, Longos and Roman Delight as a waitress. She also worked at Herr Manufacturing, Orwigsburg, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a residential service aide at the Hamburg Center, Hamburg, caring for the handicapped for 17 years. After retiring, she was involved with SCOOP. She enjoyed many types of crafting, cooking and baking for her family and friends. She enjoyed sharing the importance of love and family, even non-blood-related. She will be sadly missed but will leave a special mark in everyone's hearts. 

She was preceded in death by her sons, Michael and Steven Inger; son-in-law, Thomas J. "Butch" Brennan Jr.; sisters, Geneva, Mildred and Ruth; brothers, Harry Jr., Rodney and David.

Kay was the mother of Charlene Inger Brennan, companion of Thomas Bevan, Pottsville. She was the beloved grandmother of Thomas P. Brennan, husband of Stephanie Day, York, Jennifer Brennan Ebling, wife of Mark, Pottsville, and Carla Bevan Zimmerman, wife of Shawn, Schuylkill Haven. Kay was the awesome great-grandmother to Brendan and Hattie Ebling, Riley, Ireland, Keeley, Quinn, Emerson and Fiona Brennan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, great-great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-great-nieces and -nephews. 

Services and interment will be private. Memorial donations may be sent to AIDS Healthcare Foundation, 6255 W. Sunset Blvd. 21st Fl., Los Angeles, CA 90028. Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc. has charge of arrangements with cremation services by Riverside Cremation Services LLC, both of Schuylkill Haven.
