The Life of Anita L Bello

Anita L. Bello, 95, of Briarcliffe, passed away on October 21, 2017 at her home. She was the wife of the late Vincent Bello, Jr, who passed away in 2005. Born August 5, 1922 in Reading, PA she was the daughter of the late William and the late Mary (nee McDonald) Bockus.

In addition to being a full-time mother and homemaker, she had been employed as a waitress for many years in the restaurant industry. Anita will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family and friends.

Anita is survived by her children, Jeannette Larkin (Rich), of Briarcliffe, Anita Purnell (Jim), of Deptford, NJ, Vera Horst (the late Rich), of Gilbertsville, Vincent Bello, III (Kim), of Morrisville, PA, her son-in-law, Donald G. Turner, Sr., of Upper Darby, and her 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her children, the late Frankie DiValerio, the late Diane Turner, and the late Nancy Sweeney

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday morning, October 26, 2017 from 8:30-10:30 AM at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Secane PA 19018 where her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM.

Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anita’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice, and would be deeply appreciated by her family.
