The Life of Richard A Miller


Richard A. Miller, age 83, of Magnolia, MD passed away on October 6, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cressona, PA, he was the son of Asby and Alene (Jennings) Miller and husband of the late Joan S. Miller. A veteran with 35 years of service in the U.S. Airforce, he served our country in the Korean War. He was the former chaplain of the VFW in Abingdon, MD and member of the VFW in Pine Grove, PA and American Legion in Chincoteague, VA. He was proud of his military career and loved his family. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time in Chincoteague, VA surf fishing and in Pottsville, PA, where he walked the Blue Mountain.

Mr. Miller is survived by his son, Steven C. Miller and wife, Deborah, of Hartly, DE; daughter, Linda A. Miller of Jarrettsville; grandchildren, Adam A. Miller of York, PA, Richard J. Miller of Magnolia, Mylia A. Dixon of Perryville, Victoria Diaz of Arundel Mills, Angel L. Miller of Magnolia and Sarah E. Miller of Hartly, DE; 2 great grandchildren; and brother, John E. Miller of Abingdon. 

He was preceded in death by son, Richard D. Miller and grandson, Michael Paul Miller.
