The Life of Mary Rose King

Mary R. (nee Miller) King, 91, of Collingdale, PA, died October 2, 2017 at Mercy Catholic-Fitz Div.

Born and raised in Harrisburg she was a graduate of Carlisle High School, class of 1943. Mary was an Army wife, moving her family from base to base before settling in Collingdale over 50 years ago.

One of her favorite pastimes was driving and she willingly ran 'mom's taxi service' for her sons. So many trips to West Chester University, the car could find its' way by itself. She enjoyed doing puzzles, both jigsaw and crossword and was an avid reader.

Mary will be remembered as a loving wife, mom and grandmom devoted to her family. Survivors: include her husband of 64 years, William R., Sr., sons, Doug, Bill, Greg King and granddaughter, Julianna King.

Service: Her Funeral Service will be 11am Sat. at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill, with visitation beginning at 10am.

Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA 19026

Contributions: in her memory to Charity of the donor's choice, would be preferred.
