The Life of Judith Mackey Cook

Judith M. ‘Judi’ Cook 70 of Earleville, MD passed peacefully at home on Thursday September 28, 2017.  Judi was born December 19, 1946 to the late George C. and Martha T. Mackey of Newtown Square, PA. She was raised in Delaware County and was a graduate of Marple Newtown Senior High School.

 

Judi was a devoted wife and mother dedicating her life to her children, grandchildren and her late husband Jerold L. “Cookie” Cook. An avid volunteer, Judi held memberships with the Commodores Association, Hacks Point Fire Co., Lower Cecil Co. Senior Citizens and enjoyed shuffleboard at the Chesapeake VFW, along with Sunday morning breakfasts with “The breakfast club”.

 

In 2002 Judi moved from Delaware County to Crystal Beach to enjoy a well-deserved retirement with Jerry. Judi and Jerry’s love for each other was a bond that could not be broken in death, and they now rest together at home with the Lord.

 

Judi is survived by her sister Susan Mackey of Brookhaven, PA, sons George L. Armington of Cochranville, PA, Jared M. Armington of Cecilton, MD, Chase R. Armington of North East MD, step-children Jerold Cook Jr., James Cook, and Kimberly Cook, and her beloved grandchildren Christopher Armington, Peyton Cook and Austin Cook

 

Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Rd. Drexel Hill PA 19026.

 

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Judi’s name to the Lower Cecil County Senior Citizens in care of the funeral home Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena MD.
