The Life of Raymond C. Ford Sr.

Raymond C. Ford Sr. of Burlington City died at his residence Wednesday Sept. 13, 2017. He was 85. Born in Fieldsboro, N.J., Raymond was a lifelong Burlington resident. He worked for US Pipe and Foundry Co. in Burlington City for 25 years. He then left the foundry and worked for the City of Burlington in the building maintenance department until his retirement. In his spare time Ray enjoyed watching TV and listening to music as well as building things like birdhouses. He was the son of the late Harry C. and Anna (Revolinski) Ford. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary (Wunder) Ford; his children and their spouses, Robert R. Ford (Nancy), Kevin Ford (Cindy), Raymond C. Ford Jr., and Melanie Rothenburger (Steve); his grandchildren, Robert Jr., Mitchell, Alex, Brandy and Steven; his great grandchildren, Tayt, Bodee, Tripp, Carter, Camden and Georgia Raye; his sister, Evelyn Archer and good friend, Elwood Worth. A viewing for Raymond will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, Rt. 130, Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 261 Connecticut Dr., Burlington, NJ 08016 would be appreciated by his family.
