The Life of Barbara A Sharpe

1950-2017 Barbara A. Sharpe, 67, of Ridley, passed away on September 22, 2017 surrounded by her family at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital.

Born in Ridley Park, she was the beloved daughter of Mary Long (nee Flack) and niece of William Flack (Unkie). Barbara was a 1968 graduate of Interboro High School and was employed as a hair dresser until the birth of her first child in 1972.

She devoted her life to the care of her husband and children. Barbara loved spending her summers in Wildwood with her sister and family. She was an avid crocheter, having learned from her mother and passed this tradition down to her own daughter.

Barbara cheered the loudest every time her son took the field for his college football team. She loved her grandchildren (Connor, Sydney, Jackson, and Emma) and spoiled them every chance she got.

Barbara was the loving wife of William Sharpe, having shared their lives for 52 years. She was a loving mother to Jonathan (Melissa), Jennifer Ward (Kevin), and David (Jessica). Barbara was predeceased by her best friend and sister, Susan Hamson and is survived by her sister, Lucinda Scace.

Her burial will be private.
