Lois Jean Miller, 91, died September 17th, 2017 in her room at Wesley Acres.
She lived a life of service to her husband, family, and church. The daughter of Methodist minister Rev. Robert White and mother Nellie, she graduated in 1947 as a registered nurse from the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in Des Moines, Iowa in the cadet nurse corp program. She served under Dr. Trueblood and Dr. Shaw in Indianola before devoting herself to caring for her family.
She married Rev. W.T. (Bill) Miller on August 24, 1947, and is survived by her children Rhea (Sandy), William (Gay), Brian (Mary), and Timothy (Ann), 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The memorial service is Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Community Room at Wesley Acres Retirement Center, 3520 Grand Avenue, Des Moines. Memorials can be given to the Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Acres.
