The Life of NEIL J WURSTER

Neil Joseph Wurster, 72, of Spring Twp., passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Penn State Health, St. Joseph. He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. (Knarr) Wurster.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Harold J. and Evelyn C. (Underkoffler) Wurster.

Neil was a Reading High School graduate and attended Albright College.

He served proudly in the United States Army Reserve during the Vietnam War.

During his life he worked for Maier's Bakery for 33 years, retiring in April 2007.

Neil was an inspiration to many and loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Amy L. Murray, wife of Craig Murray, of Sinking Spring; Melissa A. Wurster, fiancee of Jim Marshall, of Pittsburgh; step-daughter, Christina Almodovar, of Mount Penn; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Murray and Ryan Murray; step-grandchildren, Alex Dominguez-Knarr and Emily Figueroa. He is also survived by his siblings: Ann Marie Lauer, Judy Knarr, Thomas Wurster; and previous wife, Carolyn Baird, wife of David, of Sinking Spring.

Neil was predeceased by his brother, Jack Wurster.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Ignatius Loyola RCC, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Sinking Spring, Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, from 6:00 p.m-8:00p.m.
