The Life of Rita M. Cooke

Rita M. Cooke (nee. Rudella), 87, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Paoli Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of the late Earl A. Cooke, Jr. with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

Born in Windburne, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Rudella.

She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.  She is survived by three children, Thomas J. (Mary) Cooke, Earl A. (Marjorie) Cooke III and Stephen (Rosanne) Cooke; three brothers, Francis P. Rudella, Paul J. Rudella and John J. Rudella; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Veitz.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Thursday September 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Church, 100 Fellowship Rd., Chester Springs, PA 19425.  Visitation will be held prior to the funeral mass on Thursday from 8:30-9:45 AM at the church. 

Internment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Cape May County Zoo, a place where she loved to visit with her grandchildren.
