The Life of Billy Joe Tollett



After a courageous battle with cancer, Billy Joe "Red" Tollett, 79, of Odessa, Texas went to be with God on September 1, 2017.

He was born to father Frank Tollett and mother Vera Taylor Tollett on January 14, 1938. He joined the Army and served his days in Germany.

He worked in the oilfields of West Texas. He loved fishing, family and friends. He loved people and was always looking for a game of poker or a fishing trip.

Billy Joe is survived by his four children, Kenneth W. Tollett and wife Ellen, Terri Stathem and husband Lane, Billy Tollett and wife Tika, and Sandra Tollett; grandchildren: Landon Thompson, Cody Stathem and wife Erin, Katey Tollett, Kenny Tollett, Lauryn Stathem, Leightyn Tollett, RileyJo Loranger, Bayli Grace Tollett, & Parker Tollett; and great grandchildren: Peightyn Stathem and Ayden Stathem.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Herbert Tollett, D. F. Tollett, Lowell V. Tollett.

Billy Joe will be laid to rest at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 am. Evans Funeral Home, Milford OH in charge of arrangements.
