The Life of David Schultz

SCHULTZ, David, 83, from the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, PA, died on Friday, September 8, 2017. David was a graduate of Roxborough High School, and a long-time member of both the Roxborough Male Chorus and St. Timothy’s Choir. Although they went to the same high school, David met his wife of 50 years, Elaine (nee Dempsey) at St. Tim's. He served in the Army, 82nd Airborne Division. He loved wildlife and birds. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, and his only brother, Edward. He is survived by his daughters: Lois Horn (Edward Horn), Barbara Freiling (Robert Freiling), and Jane Garvey; grandchildren: Shane Morris, Michelle Horn, Ariana Horn, Robert Freiling, Jr., Michael Freiling, Timothy Freiling, David Garvey, and Matthew Garvey; and great grandchildren: Jared Morris, Bridget Morris, Tyler Morris, Phoenix Morris, Kyle Morris, Charlotte Freiling, Ayden Freiling, Kathryn Garvey, Charles Garvey, Lilly Garvey, and Riley Garvey. Memorial Service Saturday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 5720 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA  19128. Interment immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, 480 Norristown Road, Blue Bell, PA  19422 or the Pennsylvania SPCA 1546 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125.
