The Life of William Treloar


William Joseph Treloar, 67, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on Sept. 2 at his home. He is the husband to Melinda Pagliaro Treloar. He was born in Derby on Feb. 14, 1950, son of the late William H. and Helen (Keil) Treloar. A communicant of the Church of the Assumption, graduate of Ansonia High School, served in the U.S. Navy, was awarded Honorable Mention Military Photographer of the Year in 1976. Upon release from the Navy he photographed for local newspapers, The Evening Sentinel, Milford Citizen and the West Haven News. Returning to school, he received his degree in Structural Tech at the age of 50. Survivors, beside his wife, Melinda; one son, Paul Castellone of Ansonia; one daughter, Luisa Castellone of Ansonia; two brothers, Jonathan Treloar of Ansonia and Alan Treloar of No. Carolina; one sister, Roberta Betokski of Seymour and one granddaughter, Rose Gerry. His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 8:40 am from the Bennett Funeral Home, 91 N Cliff St., Ansonia, to the Church of the Assumption for a mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-6 p.m.
