The Life of MARJORIE GASKILL ROBINSON

Marjorie Louise Gaskill was born March 10, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN to Ardis V & Pauline Cramer Gaskill.. She graduated from Howe High School in Indianapolis in 1944, and Butler University in Indianapolis in 1948. However she took her senior year as a student at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA and received her certificate as a Physical Therapist.

On September 10, 1949 she was united in marriage to Robert Robinson and moved to Denver, CO. Upon his completion of Seminary, they moved to Iowa where she was employed near wherever she was appointed- Younkers Rehab Center, Des Moines, Boone County Hospital in Boone, IA, Chief of the department at Henry County Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, and St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City.

Following Bob’s retirement, they moved to a farm in Jasper County where they planted a tree farm of Walnut and Oak which will be harvested in about 2100 AD. Bob and Marge moved to Walnut Ridge Senior apartments in Clive in April 2012.

She is survived by her husband and two Sons- James Edward Robinson of Albuquerque, NM, and Richard (Karen) Robinson, and granddaughter Nellie Robinson of Alexandria, VA, and by Sally Sonnenburg, the Mother of her two oldest grandchildren, Dr. Laura (Colin) Robinson Ramsey, and by Mark (Holly) Robinson of Coon Rapids, MN, and three great grandchildren Camden Robinson, Lucy June Robinson, and Alexander Robinson Ramsey.

She is also survived by special friends Larry & Paulette Wood, Lee Norviel, Kathy Galvin, and the Walnut Ridge Memory Care Staff.

Remembering Marj

Marjorie took my family in to her home and treated us just like her family. Always giving, never asking. She was a sweetheart and is missed.
