The Life of LEORA MAE WEBSTER

Leora Webster went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 12, 2017, at the age of 100. She was born January 25, 1917, near Manilla, Iowa, to Henry and Helen Kuhl.

Leora was self-employed and used her talents as a homemaker for others.

Leora was a woman of strong faith. She was a long time member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and also a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

Leora was a skilled seamstress who enjoyed embroidery and quilting. She also found joy in gardening and solving word search puzzles.

Leora is survived by her children, Bonnie (Al) Evans and Larry (Bobbi) Webster; daughter-in-law, Joanne Webster; 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clair; son, Dale; three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 4003 2nd Avenue in Des Moines with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church in loving memory of Leora.
