The Life of Frances Kimball

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 10:00 A.M. in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Frances Brinkman Kimball, 67, who died on July 14, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Richard Humphries with Asbury United Methodist Church in Lafayette will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Patrick C. Kimball of Lafayette; two daughters, Kelly A. Kimball of Lafayette and Bethany Kimball Daigle and her husband, Christopher Daigle of Youngsville; two grandchildren, Chloe and Corbin Daigle; three sisters, Elizabeth Henderson of Chatawa, MS., Jean Scott and her husband, Gerald of New Iberia and Lynn Bates and her husband, Steven of New Iberia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Bradley Brinkman and Joseph Harvey George Brinkman.

A resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of her life, Fran was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She dedicated most of her time to her family and was the guiding force and mentor for many of her family members. Her career ranged from teaching advanced mathematics and chemistry at ABW in Opelousas, Louisiana to working as a legal secretary for various law firms in the Opelousas and Lafayette, Louisiana area. She was also a Notary Public. Fran enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, entertaining, shopping, and visiting her family members. Gardening and bird watching also interested her throughout her life. Her kindness, generosity, and compassion won her many steadfast friends in all aspects of her life. She will be missed greatly by all who were fortunate enough to encounter her in their lives.

Pallbearers will be Patrick C. Kimball, Paul H. Kimball, Chris Daigle, Royce Moyer, John Bates, and Clint Bates. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Diringer and Chris Kimball.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s DOWNTOWN location on Monday from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Kimball family to the doctors and nurses in the ER and ICU units at Our Lady of Lourdes for going beyond their job descriptions by providing continuing words of comfort, exhibiting compassion for our family members, and treating Fran with the utmost respect. Together they all made Fran’s journey peaceful and our family was comforted by their professionalism and humanitarianism.
