The Life of William H. Jr. Sidebottom
William "Bill" Henry Sidebottom, Jr., age 92, of Westbrook Park,
passed away peacefully on June 22, 2017.
Born in Philadelphia to William
H. and Anna Sidebottom, he graduated from John Bartram High School and
spent his career as an optician. Bill served in the US Navy during WW II on the USS Bataan.
A lifelong resident of Clifton Heights, he enjoyed long walks, bike rides, traveling to World War II
Reunions and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, to
his wife, Doris (nee Headley) Sidebottom who predeceased him in 1978.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Veronica "Ronnie" T. (nee
Robinson) Sidebottom.
Bill is survived by his children, Linda Burke
(John), Bill Sidebottom (Judy), Teresa Miller-Tonelli (Joe), Helene
McCaughern (Bob), Betsy Miller-Stephanou (Tom), Barbara Jackson (Chuck
Bobelick); his grandchildren, John and Daniel Burke, Robert McCaughern,
Kristen Burke, Michele and Kelly McCaughern, Samantha, Eric, and Amy
Jackson, William McCaughern; seven great grandchildren; nieces and
nephews.
Interment Arlington
Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
