The Life of Gordon C. Colmary

Gordon C. Colmary peacefully went to his eternal reward on June 19th, 2017.

He was born in Philadelphia and was married to Jean Lindenmuth Colmary for 53 years. They resided in Willingboro for most of their married life until moving to Delran two years ago, and more recently living at Brookdale Westhampton Assisted Living Facility. He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Cheryl (Kim); sons Brian (Cindy) and Kevin (Tabitha); and nine grandchildren.

Gordon worked in the printing industry for companies such as American Envelope/Mail Well and E J Spangler/Garrett Buchanan until his first retirement in mid 2000. After a few years of retirement, he took a position with Mt Laurel Township serving as a Park Guard for 9 years until the position was restructured in 2010.

He served in the Army as an MP from 1961 to 1963.

His favorite place was Eagle Camp in South Hero, Vermont. He attended Camp from the age of 17 until age 75 every year consecutively except two.

Gordon was a faithful member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Palmyra for more than 30 years. Prior to attending Epworth, he was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Willingboro.

The family and friends are invited to join the family for a Memorial Service at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 500 Morgan Ave., Palmyra, NJ to celebrate Gordon’s life. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to be made to the Epworth UM Church Living Trust of Palmyra for the Gordon Colmary Endowment, mailing address is 501 Morgan Ave., Palmyra, NJ 08065.
