The Life of Marjorie Y Christman

Marjorie Young Christman passed away peacefully and comfortably on June 9, 2017.

 She was born in Upper Darby, PA on March 18, 1923, the youngest of three children of Richard and Anna Young.  Marge had a welcoming, accepting spirit whose faith informed her daily walk.  She was an active member and Deacon at First Presbyterian Church, Strasburg and professionally was a church secretary in West Chester.

 She was a dedicated homemaker and a devoted wife and help mate to the love of her life, her late husband Harold Christman, Sr., with whom she was married for over 70 years.  Her commitment to her spouse has been a testimony of commitment and a source of inspiration to her family.  

Mrs. Christman is survived by daughters Nancy Christman Caroselli (John) of Winchester, VA and Virginia Christman Sitler (Steve) of Lancaster, PA; a son, Harold Gannon Christman, Jr (Sally)  of Fletcher, NC; and a brother Howard Young of Media, PA.   She is also survived by those with whom she took great pride, her grandchildren Brian Haynie (Sarah) of Cumberland, MD, Jeffrey Haynie (Debbie) of Leesburg, VA, Tara Natwick of Melbourne, FL, Timothy Trone of Mystic, CT, Rachel Christman (Robert) of Arlington, VA, and Sarah Christman of Wilmington, NC, and great grandchildren Gabbie, Bryce, and Kiernan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 N. Penryn Rd., Manheim, PA 17545.
