The Life of Mary DiStasi
Mary Grace DiStasi, age 91, of Bethany, beloved wife of the late Frank DiStasi,
died peacefully on May 31, 2017 at the Regency House Health Care Center,
Wallingford. Born in Derby on September 12, 1925, she was the daughter of
the late Carlo and Theresa Yoia Brasile. Mrs. DiStasi was a longtime resident
of Derby and Ansonia before residing in Bethany in her senior years. She
enjoyed a long and successful career in banking starting as a teller for the
former Birmingham National Bank and retiring from Second New Haven Bank.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Frances (Ronald) Doba and Kathleen
(Grant) Barone, all of Bethany; cherished grandchildren, James Gregorio of
WA, Jeffrey Gregorio of DC and Andrew (Hena Daniels) Doba of Greenwich;
and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 41 years, she was predeceased by a brother, David
Brasile. A private Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Mary Church, Derby, on Monday, June 5,
2017, interment followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167
