Services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at an 11:00 AM Graveside Service at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette for Eugenia "Genie" H. Parrish, age 64, who passed away at 12:20 AM on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Cornerstone South in Lafayette.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Joe C. Parrish; her children, Matthew Rey and wife Dana, Heather Parrish, and Michael Parrish; and her grandchildren, Maddison Rey and Nora Fielder.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lucille Hampton.

Genie was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of USL with a Masters in Child and Family Studies of which she was very proud. She will be deeply missed and always loved.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille''s SOUTHSIDE location on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. On Thursday, please join the family at Lafayette Memorial Park at 11:00 AM.
