The Life of HAROLD SCHROEDER CARPENTER
Bud, 83 passed away April 2, 2017. He was born February 12, 1934 to his loving parents, Lydia and Harold E. Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lue.
Bud''s father taught him to fly a plane when he was 14. Fishing, hunting and golf were also important when he was not traveling all over the world.
We call him the Bionic Man having survived so many surgeries without a complaint.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday, April 7 at Lutheran Church of Hope West Des Moines with visitation at 10 am prior to the service.
Bud is survived by his wife Marilyn, daughter Stacey (Dan) Crow and children Sean (Allison) and Ryan, daughter Kimberly Carpenter, son David (Linda) Carpenter, son Fred (Liz) Carpenter and children Taylor, Logan, Kate, and son John (Tammy) Carpenter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
