The Life of George W Kaiser


George W. Kaiser age 90 of Collingdale was called home by Jesus on April 2, 2017.

Born and raised in Folcroft, George was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII.

In 1955, he started in the auto repair business, operating a Sinclair Service station on Chester Pike in Glenolden. In 1962, he moved his auto repair business to a new location on MacDade Blvd, also in Glenolden. Finally, in 1983, he moved the auto service center to Oak Lane in Collingdale. In 1988, he expanded into the self service storage business, which is still run by his family today. George retired from the business in 1990.

He enjoyed restoring and collecting antique cars and trucks and was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, America Truck Historical Society and Antique Truck Club of America.

He was a member of Folcroft Union Church where he served as an Elder. He was a founding member of Glencroft Baptist Church, and was instrumental in the construction of that church.

He is predeceased by his first wife Florence Kaiser, his second wife Jean Kaiser and his son Glenn C. Kaiser.

Survivors: Loving father of George (Mary) A. Kaiser and Debra (Ken) Donaberger, cherished grandfather of Andy, Tim, Kenny, Nicole and Mitch, great grandfather of Kayleigh and Macklin, dear brother of Donald(Kay) Kaiser and Robert Kaiser, many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 1pm, Sat at Folcroft Union Church, 500 Primos Ave. Folcroft, PA. 19032

Visitation: 12-1pm, Sat., at the church

Burial: will be held privately at Arlington Cemetery.
