The Life of TERRY LYNN YOUNG
Terry Lynn Young, 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 4, 2017. Terry was born in Hermann, Missouri on July 22, 1957.
Terry is survived by his mother, Martha Young; his children: Coleman (Liza) Young, Preston (Nicole) Young, Andrea (Brad) Thygesen, and Jennifer (Jordan) Green; many grandchildren; and his siblings: James Randolph, Jimmy Howard, Donald Wayne, Linda Darlene, and Gary Lee.
Terry was preceded in death by his father.
Terry worked in the printing business for over 20 years, including running his own business. Most recently, Terry worked as a truck driver for JMT Trucking.
He enjoyed collecting antiques and spending time with his family, especially cooking his perfected biscuits and gravy to share with those he loved. He had infectious laughter and goofy humor, which he passed down to his children and grandchildren. He had an incredibly compassionate heart to help people and animals.
He called himself the "jack of all trades, but a master of none," but his kids would disagree, as he mastered everything he put his mind to. But one of the things that his children will remember the most is his love and his desire to spoil his grandkids. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8pm Tuesday, March 7th, 2017, at Hamilton''''s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue. Services will be held at 10am Wednesday at Saylorville Church, 6249 NW 6th Drive.
