The Life of MARGENE JOAN OLEARY
Margene O''Leary, 84, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Fleur Heights Care Center. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Iles Westover Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
Margene was born June 3, 1932 to Carl and Hildred (Sacquety) Eng in Ida Grove. She lived in Clive most of her life, where she belonged to St. Theresa Catholic Church and the Clive Good Idea Club. Margene was a Registered Nurse and retired from Broadlawns Medical Center in 1990 after 40 years of service. She worked part time for the State of Iowa in the Shiip Program. Margene enjoyed crocheting, socializing with friends, playing cards and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children: Dennis (Glenda) O''Leary of Van Buren, AR, Kathryn (Harlan Barker) O''Leary of Des Moines, Brian (Pamela) O''Leary of Ft. Smith, AR; nine grandchildren: Jeromy (Tabitha) Metier of Knoxville, Jessica (Todd) Gladson of Oskaloosa, Kristin Metier of Oskaloosa, Robert O''Leary of Van Buren, AR, Jacob O''Leary of Van Buren, AR, Amanda (Eric) Waterbury of Van Buren, AR, Monica (Thomas) Jaynes of Ft. Smith, AR, Katelyn (Chris) Perez Van Dam of Carlisle, Amber O''Leary of Van Buren, AR; 12 great grandchildren: Erin, Mackenzie, Hailey, Bryce, Arieanah, Jaylin, Courtland, Aliyah, Addison, Laci, Greysyn, Jaise, and one on the way; sister, Vernette Waugh of Ft. Collins, CO. Margene was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Diane and sister, Verneita Rehor.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday, Feb. 15th at the funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clive Good Idea Club or Arthritis Foundation.
