The Life of Gary Wilson Upchurch
Funeral Services will be held at the Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers on Tuesday December 27, 2016 at 11:00am for Mr. Gary Wilson Upchurch, 68, who passed away on December 24, 2016 at 2:40pm at his residence.
Rev. Ramonalynn Bethley, Pastor of Covenant Methodist Church will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place at Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Upchurch, a resident of Church Point, was the son of Wilson Upchurch and the former Mozelle Muirhead. He was a safety instructor and driver trainer in the oil and gas and shipping industry and was most recently employed with ACME Truck Line. Mr. Upchurch enjoyed fishing, dabbling in leather work, and carpentry. He was also an avid reader. Mr. Upchurch was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed tinkering with engines and auto body repair.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Webster Upchurch; daughters, Jennifer Upchurch Thompson and Melissa Upchurch Droblyn and husband Nathan; son, Brian Upchurch and wife Nicole; father; grandchildren, Kelsey Upchurch, Ambreia and Aurelyn Thompson; sisters, Debbie Harris and husband David and Glenda Hartwig and husband William.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme-Bertrand on Monday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visiting hours will continue on Tuesday from 8:00am until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
